Depending upon the material ink is chosen for metal decoration. Mostly printing will be not directly on the raw material. The ink
is really being printed onto a coated metal. The following two categories for types of
coatings used on metals. Thermoplastic
coating - a coating that does not chemically react during "drying." It
will with heat or redissolve it with a strong solvent. Thermoset
coating - a coating that cures by a chemical reaction called polymerization
and/or crosslinking. When a thermoset coating is properly cured, it is
resistant to heat, will not remelt, and will generally have excellent solvent
and scuff resistance.
Printing on hard
and non-absorbent material like metal cans use offset printing method and it is
classified into two types by their can structure ; Sheet
